COPENHAGEN CLIMATE SUMMIT - CANDLELIT VIGIL 

A candlelit vigil was held in Matlock on Saturday December 12^th 2009 as part of a weekend of global action calling for a real climate deal at the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen .

The Matlock event, one of over 3000 held in over 130 countries, was attended by local people including members of Transition Matlock, MACAF (Matlock Area Climate Action Forum), Greenpeace, CAFOD and Little Green Space.

“It is absolutely vital that the world’s governments deliver a fair, ambitious and binding treaty on climate change at Copenhagen ,” said event organiser Ingrid Pasteur.
