Little Green Space

Matlock Bath Holy Trinity Primary School

On 26 March 2009, Little Green Space visited Matlock Bath Holy Trinity School, to clear an area of overgrown shrubs and create a mini-orchard near the school entrance.

Year 4 children from the school's gardening club planted the trees: two apples and a plum. They then planted garlic around the trees.

Funding for this project was provided by Derbyshire County Council's Greenwatch grant.

Little Green Space continued to support Matlock Bath Holy Trinity School with the creation of a new butterfly and bee garden area during spring 2010.

We provided nectar-rich plants, which we helped children from the Infants class to plant. This garden has become a valuable resource for lessons at the school.
