Richard Bunting - DirectorRichard is former Director of
Communications of Amnesty International, the world's largest human rights organisation. He
currently runs Communications and Campaigns
International, a public
affairs consultancy that specialises in social and environmental issues.
He has worked with leading non-governmental organisations, charities and
the United Nations including UNICEF, the World Health Organisation,
children’s charity NCH, the Wildlife Trusts and award-winning Scottish
charity Trees for Life. He coordinated media work for the Disasters
Emergency Committee’s record-breaking Indian Ocean Tsunami Appeal that

Penny Bunting - Director Penny works as a freelance writer and consultant with various charities. She is the author of the Little Green Space diary, and writes a regular column about wildlife, sustainable living and environmental issues for the Peak Advertiser newspaper. She is also a qualified primary school teacher, working with children aged 4-11 and specialising in ICT. She has run children’s digital video workshops, helping them to make short films about habitats, the environment and climate change.

Matthew Croney - Conservation and Policy AdvisorMatthew is a Rural Chartered Surveyor and Head of Property with the Peak District National Park Authority. He has over 13 years' experience of managing some of the country's most popular conservation and recreation sites. He specialises in engaging communities in managing landscapes, through initiatives such as the Stanage Forum, which is regarded internationally as an example of best practice. In a private capacity, he has advised organisations such as Welsh Communities First officers, Leicestershire Doorstep Greens, Sheffield Wildlife Trust and Friends of the Lake District in engaging communities in managing their sites and developing their policies.

Ken Dykes - Ornithology AdvisorKen has some 40 years' experience as a journalist and is former Editor of the Andover Advertiser newspaper in Hampshire. He is a keen ornithologist and a member of the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust and the RSPB. He has given talks on birds to various schools and organisations, as well as writing articles on the subject for national magazines. His wildlife garden in Andover includes a colony of house sparrow nest boxes, as well as blue tit, robin and blackbird nests and a range of bird feeders. He has researched and advised on Little Green Space’s barn owl project, and has provided features about attracting birds and bees to your garden. |

Catherine Croney - Interpretation and Fundraising AdvisorCatherine has worked as Interpretation Manager for the Peak District National Park Authority since 1996. She specialises in interpretation planning, fundraising and project planning for the Peak District Interpretation Partnership. She manages Peak Experience, a series of 10 guides about the heritage of the Peak District. She has also written text for panels and leaflets for the Peak District National Park Authority, The National Trust, Severn Trent Water and Natural England. Her current work includes writing interpretation panels and devising a children's garden trail for the National Trust's Hardwick Hall.

Dr Rowena Bailey - Scientific Advisor and trusteeRowena is a published environmental scientist. Her work has included the development of a method for detecting soil pollution using nematode worms and research into genetic transfer between soil bacteria (a key concern in the use of genetically modified organisms). More recently she has become interested in environmental education and awareness, and is currently working on a project based at the University of Sheffield exploring creative ways to increase public understanding of river catchments. Rowena has also worked locally in adult community education and as a volunteer assisting with school groups visiting the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust's Whistlestop Centre.

Debbie Neath - Trustee Debbie works as a yoga teacher in the Matlock area and is also a qualified primary school teacher. She has a special interest in gardening, growing vegetables, keeping chickens and the creation of wildlife habitats in her garden. Debbie also volunteers locally in community-based projects and schools. |
