Little Green Space is an environmental project working in the Peak District and Derbyshire. Through our own work and by inspiring others, we are creating a network of rich and healthy spaces to benefit people, wildlife and the environment, and are encouraging sustainable living.

We work with schools, businesses, councils and local people to create green spaces in their local environment.

We carry out environmental awareness and education work. Our educational programme works with local schools to help children learn more about different habitats and species.

We also offer workshops and talks to different groups, advising people on how to minimise their impact on the environment and encouraging them to create their own little green space.

Most villages, towns and cities have land, including gardens, school grounds, parkland and wasteland which could be doing so much more for the environment, and so for people and wildlife.

We have won several awards: Derbyshire Dales CVS Celebrating People Award (2010); Matlock Mercury New Years Honours (2011); Derbyshire County Council Young Achievers Awards (2011); RHS / Wildlife Trusts Big Wildlife Garden Green Award (2012); Derbyshire Dales District Council Chairman's Community Award (2012).
