A plastic-free, 100% natural soap bar that would make a great little stocking filler for green-fingered loved ones. This antioxidant, germ-beating bar produces masses of foamy bubbles for cleaning mucky hands – and it smells wonderful, thanks to the fragrant rose geranium essential oils. It's wrapped in pretty, recyclable and biodegradable paper that features a watercolour floral illustration. No palm oil and suitable for vegans. Paper Plane is a small business based in Rutland, UK, and is committed to sustainability – including through using biodegradable packaging, such as paper and sugar cane stickers, and recyclables such as glass and cardboard. For every order received, a tree is planted through Ecologi – with almost 2,000 trees funded so far.

Forest Feast partners with smallholder farms and organisations to ensure fair prices, responsible practices, and community empowerment. Roanna and Abbie, founders of Great House Farm Stores, believe that scent has the power to boost wellbeing. These sustainably produced tealights, hand-poured in Wales, do just that – with carefully crafted fragrances designed to calm, comfort, heal or energise. The Discovery pack allows you to try out six different scents, and comes with a £5 voucher to spend on your favourite full-sized candle. We particularly loved 'Home', a soothing blend of vanilla, smoke and vetiver. These are larger than standard tealights, and are made with natural coconut wax and organic cotton wicks. They burn cleanly for ages, filling the room with scent. The cases are made from recycled plastic, and are recyclable, and the tealights are packaged in an attractive, eco-friendly cardboard box. Moa Fortifying Bath Potion is produced in Somerset, using locally grown ingredients, and is inspired by herbal folklore. This potion packs a powerful punch – a little goes a long way, and you only need one or two small capfuls to create a fragrant, restorative bath. The mood-boosting aroma of peppermint, fennel and nettle continues to be released while you bathe – and it left our bathroom smelling like a spa. The natural herbal formulation also includes fir needle, yarrow and sweet birch, and can help soothe aches and pains, reduce congested airways, and clear the mind. It's great for keeping to hand during the winter months when colds and flu are doing the rounds. The potion can also be used as a refreshing foot bath, to soothe tired feet. It comes in an eco-friendly glass bottle with a beautiful illustrated label, and would make an ideal luxury gift for someone who deserves pampering.

The classic chevron pattern adds a stylish touch to a bed or sofa, and the throws get softer with each use – lovely to snuggle up in when the weather gets cold. They're made by Asha Handicrafts Association – an organisation supporting over 800 artisans. As a social enterprise, all profits are put back into the social welfare of the artisans and their families, giving them an opportunity to improve their living standard whilst continuing the tradition of Indian craft. All Paper High products are sent out in 100% recyclable packaging, with the option to add a gift note that's printed on recycled, textured A6 card. Paper High offers a wide range of fair trade gifts and products, using natural, reclaimed, and recycled materials wherever possible.

Also available in dark, milk, brazil nut, salty roasted corn, and caramel and seasalt. Oxfam Bite to Fight chocolate bars are great value at £3.38 for two 47g bars – or choose larger 100g bars. Sea Change Prosecco   £13.99

Making sustainable choices doesn't mean you have to compromise on quality, and Sea Change wines are a great example of this. Choosing Sea Change wines helps to fund vital research and global conservation projects that help protect our oceans. This multi-award-winning Prosecco is delicious – refreshing and crisp, with hints of peaches and pears. Like all Sea Change wines, it comes with a beautiful label featuring marine life. Each illustration incorporates some of the plastic waste items typically found in the sea – raising awareness of the eight million tonnes of plastic that enter the ocean every year, harming marine wildlife. The paper used to create these labels is made from grape waste, and the wines are packaged carefully to reduce waste and minimise impact on the environment – with, for instance, lighter-weight bottles, and natural corks with no plastic wrap. A lovely, affordable gift that's suitable for vegans, and ideal for anyone who cares about our planet.
